1. Who we are
Lend a Hand Inc. ("Lend a Hand", "we", "us") operates this website. We are building a digital platform for rotating savings circles — known as box hand, susu, pardner, esusu and by other names across the diaspora.
For the purposes of the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, Lend a Hand Inc. is the data controller for information collected through this site.
2. What we collect
Because this is a waitlist page, we collect very little.

What we do not collect
- Your name, unless you email us directly
- Your phone number
- Any bank account, card, or payment details
- Government ID or Social Security numbers
- Your precise location
3. Why we collect it
We process your email address on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the signup form. We use it to:
- Notify you when early access to Lend a Hand opens
- Send you occasional updates about our launch progress
- Understand roughly how many people are interested, and from which sources
We will not use your email for anything else without asking you first.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We use a small number of service providers to run this site. They process your data only on our instructions:

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, such as in response to a valid court order or lawful request from law enforcement.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your email address until one of the following happens:
- You unsubscribe or ask us to delete it
- Twenty-four months pass with no launch and no contact from you
- You create a full account, at which point our main product privacy policy takes over
Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 24 months.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over your data:
- Access — ask for a copy of what we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate
- Deletion — ask us to erase your data entirely
- Withdraw consent — unsubscribe at any time, with no penalty
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Object — object to how we process your data
To exercise any of these, email privacy@lendahandsusu.com. We will respond within 30 days, and there is no charge.
If you are in the UK or EU
You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA and CPRA you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Exercising these rights will never result in discriminatory treatment.
7. Security
This site is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption. Your email address is stored by our form provider using their own security controls, which include encryption at rest.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the relevant regulator without undue delay, and within 72 hours where the law requires it.
8. Cookies and tracking
This waitlist page sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
We use one item of browser localStorage, named lah_joined, purely so that if you return to the page after signing up we can show your confirmation instead of asking you to sign up again. It contains no personal data and never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
If we enable analytics, we will use a privacy-first provider that does not use cookies or track you across other websites. If we ever switch to a provider that does, we will add a consent banner first.
9. Children
This site and the Lend a Hand service are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted their email address to us, contact privacy@lendahandsusu.com and we will delete it promptly.
10. International transfers
Lend a Hand Inc. is based in the United States, and our service providers may store data in the United States. If you are in the UK, EU or another region with data transfer restrictions, your data may be transferred outside your home jurisdiction.
Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard approved by the relevant regulator.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product develops — particularly when the app itself launches and begins handling financial data. If we make a material change, we will email everyone on the waitlist before it takes effect. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
